Bondo County to Initiate School Feeding Program

Speaking at a fundraising event in aid of St. Mary’s Lwak Girls’ High School at the Holy Family Center in Nyawita, he said that due to high poverty levels in Siaya County, 60 per cent of primary school children were going without lunch, affecting their academic performance tremendously.

On his part, Siaya Governor Cornel Rasanga acknowledged the commitment of the Catholic Church in enhancing education of the girl child and those with special needs, promising to set aside money towards supporting vulnerable children in the available special schools in the county.
