Bondo: Manhunt for suspect accused of cohabiting with girl, 14

A 30-year-old man is being pursued by security agencies in Bondo sub-county after he allegedly cohabited with a 14 year old girl at Nyamonye market in Usigu division.

John Omolo is said to have fled to an unknown destination after he got wind that he was being sought for allegedly living with the minor at his house.

According to the chief of North Yimbo location Mr. Opil Rabut, the man eloped with the minor whom he had made his wife.

Members of the public informed the provincial administration before the girl was rescued and taken for medical check-up at the nearby Got Agulu sub-county hospital.

Mr. Opil Rabut added that the suspect, who hails from Kisumu County, became apprehensive and left the home in a huff.

He revealed that the girl has already recorded a statement at Usenge police station, noting that preliminary investigations have begun.
