Booming Business in Nyeri as Sister Nyaatha is Beatified

Many business owners spent the night at the Kimathi University College grounds setting up make-shift shops while others came as early as 3am to prepare for today's event.

“We are here to ensure people do not go hungry,” said Ann Wangari, an operator who spent the night on the university grounds.

Another trader, Peter Mungai said business was slowly picking up as more people visited the food court area.

“Many people are yet to come eat. We have received a good number of people for breakfast already,” he said.

There is a whole area dedicated to food stuff dealers.

“We had to come early and book space,” said Mumbi Njagi, another trader.

“This beatification has really helped our businesses,” a trader identified as Mr Njuki said.

The beatification of Sister Irene Stefani Nyaatha has attracted thousands of faithful from all over the world.
