Botswana President Eric Mokgweetsi Masisi is set to arrive in Kenya on Monday for a three-day State Visit.

According to a statement to newsrooms by State House Spokesperson Kanze Dena-Mararo, President Uhuru Kenyatta will formally receive the visiting Head of State at State House, Nairobi, on Tuesday July 23, 2019.

“After State reception ceremonies, the two leaders will proceed for a tête-à-tête before leading bilateral talks with their respective delegations,” read the statement.

“Thereafter, President Kenyatta and President Masisi will conduct a joint press briefing.”

President Masisi – who assumed office in April last year – was Botswana’s Minister of Education since 2014.

He previously served as Minister of Presidential Affairs and Public Administration from 2011 to 2014.
