BOXING: Pacquiao Set to Donate Half of Earnings from Mayweather Fight to Charity

According to the Filipino’s promoter Bob Arum, Pacquiao will no doubt give half of the money to good causes.

He said: “I’m sure half of what Manny earns in this fight is going to go to charity. That is just Manny.”

Pacquiao is keen to help his struggling compatriots as the Filipino congressman’s influence in the country rises.

There have been speculations that the WBO welterweight champion will run for president in the Philippines once his fighting career comes to an end.

The Fillipino was defeated by Floyd Mayweather on Sunday morning in what was seen to be the fight of the century.

Pacquiao has since stated that he won the bout, even as he blamed a shoulder injury he sustained three weeks ago for his underperformance.
