A 13-year-old boy was on Thursday arraigned in an Embu court for allegedly sodomizing four boys aged between five and seven years.

The minor, appearing before Principal Magistrate Samuel Mutai, was not allowed to take plea for the charges leveled against him.

The Magistrate ordered for the suspect to first be taken for an age assessment test at Embu Level V Hospital after which he will appear in court again.

The boy was charged that, on September 27, 2018, he intentionally assaulted the boys sexually at Kiriari village in Embu North sub-county.

He also faced an alternative charge of indecent act for inappropriately touching the boys’ private parts.

The accused was reported to have fled after committing the act, but was arrested on Wednesday at his hiding place after a manhunt was launched by the police.

The four boys were admitted at Embu Level 5 Hospital where they were rushed after the incident.

The accused will be produced before the court on October 9, 2018 after the assessment test ascertaining his age.
