Boy, 15, who died after circumcision was murdered – autopsy report

A postmortem conducted on the body of a boy, 15, who was found dead in his room in Murang’a, has revealed that he was murdered.

Mr. Julius Rutere, a criminal investigating officer, said that the results show that the 15-year-old boy was hit several times on the head with a blunt object.

Church leaders from the area have since condemned the incident as the family seeks justice for Juliano Kanyonyo who had just sat for his KCPE exams and scored 377 marks.

Police have launched a manhunt alongside local residents in search of four suspects linked to the murder.

The boy was found dead on Sunday with blood oozing from his mouth a few days after he underwent circumcision.

His mother said she found the body inside his bedroom.
