Boy, 16, found with gun, drugs to be arraigned today

A 16-year-old boy who was found in possession of a pistol, 20 rounds of ammunition, rolls of bhang and police uniforms during a police operation on Saturday at Sewage Estate in Manyatta, Kisumu County is expected to be arraigned in court on Monday.

The suspect’s accomplice managed to escape during the raid and is still at large. Police also recovered four arrows and other assorted weapons during the raid believed to be used in criminal activities in the area.

Residents have been complaining of a rise in cases of insecurity in the area.

Police in the area have been conducting a crackdown to deal with insecurity, sale of hard drugs and illegal brews in the area.
