Boy who was to join college commits suicide in Kabarnet

A 19-year-old boy committed suicide using an electric wire in Kabarnet on Monday night.

The body of the deceased was found dangling inside his room at 9am when his mother went to check why he had not turned up for breakfast.

Kapropita location Chief James Chepngeny said it still remains unclear as to what could have caused him to take his own life.

According to him, the deceased had not shown any signs of stress and was even scheduled to join college on Tuesday.

The administrator also revealed that the deceased’s family had settled all the fees for him to pursue an Engineering course at East African Vision Institute in Eldoret this semester.

The deceased’s body was moved to Baringo Referral Hospital Mortuary.
