Boys’ School Dropout Rate Alarms Ministry

More boys than girls are dropping out of school to engage in menial jobs, a new report reveals. A study on over 2,000 public primary schools in 23 counties indicates that 13,210 boys quit school last year compared to 9,844 girls. The report by the National Taxpayers Association (NTA) further shows absenteeism is rampant in schools. Sally Mbilu reports.
