The man accused of trying to bribe Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, Prafur Kumar was on Friday released on a Ksh.1 million bond by a Mombasa court.

He was first arraigned on Wednesday, August 22, where he was charged with three counts of giving a bribe.

The court was told that the businessman offered Governor Sonko Ksh.1 million to facilitate the construction of the Grand Manor Hotel in Gigiri, Nairobi.
