Businessman Kobia arrested for allegedly abducting Congolese man
Controversial Nairobi businessman Paul Kobia is due in court this morning for allegedly abducting and assaulting a Congolese businessman on Wednesday night.
Kobia was arrested at his home in Kileleshwa late Wednesday night after he allegedly abducted the Congolese national, Dan Blanchard Condole.
He claims Condole conned him of Ksh40 million in a gold business deal.
The controversial businessman spent the night at Kilimani Police Station after police arrested him and rescued the Congolese man who is currently admitted at the Nairobi Women Hospital with serious body injuries allegedly inflicted on him by Kobia and his three bodyguards who are also in custody at the Kilimani Police Station.
Kobia, who is a licensed firearm holder, reportedly shot in the air severally at Bodson Spa Lounge within Kilimani area where he is alleged to have abducted the Congolese man before driving him away to his Kileleshwa home.
Police have confiscated Kobia’s firearm and he’s likely to face charges of abduction and misuse of a firearm.
