Cabinet Implements Digital Payments
The meeting chaired by President Uhuru Kenyatta expects the move to tame government expenditures, increase efficiency and significantly help growth in financial transactions.
The Cabinet has been forced to introduce the cashless payments after noting a rise in revenue collection in the Lands Ministry and State Law Office which have adopted electronic payments.
The meeting also approved the signing of a host country agreement between the government and China Development Fund.
The session was the 6th Cabinet meeting.
