Cabinet Retreat Starts In Nanyuki

The Cabinet retreat is being held at the Mt. Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki and will take 3 days.

Top on the agenda of the meeting is the Jubilee manifesto, assessing the progress of the government in terms of service delivery and synergies in the arms of government

The informal cabinet meeting is geared towards reviewing the progress made by the government during its first year in power.

In a statement to the media by State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu, the executive branch of government will be reflecting on its progress toward the targets in the Jubilee manifesto, Vision 2030, and the new constitution.

From the retreat, the Cabinet will be expected to draw a working plan to implement the Jubilee government manifesto.

The retreat is scheduled to run from today, Tuesday 4th to 6th march.

The retreat comes as the first informal cabinet meeting to be held under the new constitution, and is more of a bonding session than a formal gathering.
