Cabinet Secretaries Adan Mohamed, Peter Munya moved in new shake up

President Uhuru Kenyatta has made new changes to the cabinet swapping Cabinet Secretaries Adan Mohammed and Peter Munya while also appointing new Permanent Secretaries and ambassadors.

In the changes announced by Kanze Dena, the acting State House Spokesperson, Adan Mohamed is now the new Cabinet Secretary for East African Commission and Regional Development which was previously held by Peter Munya who takes over as the Industry, Trade and Cooperatives CS.

Aden’s new home was previously East Africa Community and Northern Corridor Developments. It is not clear if the Northern Corridor Development moves to another ministry.

Nelson Marwa is the new Principal Secretary to the Social Protection Pension and Senior Citizens Affairs State Department. He was the PS Devolution.

Marwa will be replaced by Charles Sunkuli who was the Principal Secretary in the Social Protection Pension and Senior Citizens Affairs State Department.

President Kenyatta also appointed State House Spokesperson Manoah Esipisu as an Ambassador.

Ochilo Ayako, the former MP for Rongo and former chairman of the Kenya Nuclear Electricity Board has also been tapped to take over an ambassadorial post.

Sarah Serem, the former chairperson of the Salaries and Remuneration Commission who left the gig in December has also been appointed as an ambassador.

Susan Mwachache – Environment and Forestry
Joe Okudo – (Re-appointment) Tourism State Department
Fatuma Hersi – Broadcasting and Telecommunications State Department
Francis Otieno Ouma – State Department of Youth
Esther Koimet- Transport State Department
Margaret .W. Mwakima- Wildlife State Department
Ibrahim M.Mohamed- State Department of Labour
