Cattle Raiders Steal 22 Cows in Laikipia County
Rubere villages say the attack was carried out by heavily armed cattle raiders
The villages say they suspect that the raiders could have come from Baringo County through the Laikipia Natures Conservancy
According to the local authorities, the raiders stole the lievestock belonging to a local farmer known as Kipkenda
The attack was confirmed by Mr. Rufus Kihara, the Ng’arua Sub County Assistant County Commissioner.
Police officers say they are in hot pursuit of the attackers who are said to have vanished through Matwiku to an unknown location.
Paul Njoroge, a resident of the area expressed frustrations with local leadership accusing them of failing to address insecurity in the area.
He says the locals continue to lose their livestock without any tangible action from the security apparatus.
The attack occured just three days after another at Kamwenji where cattle was stolen and have not been recovered.
