Cattle Rustlers Shoot And Injure Assistant Chief

The assistant chief who was pursuing stolen cattle is now hospitalized at Kabarnet County Referral Hospital

The Akuchatis sub- location assistant chief Musa Chongo was shot on Wednesday morning as he followed the request of his senior, the Assistant County Commissioner for Tiaty Daniel Kirui.

The assistant chief was in the company of two other chiefs who were pursuing cattle rustlers who had stolen goats from a village in Baringo North.

The administrators were however able to recover the stolen goats at an enclosed pen in Tiaty near Nginyang town

The injured assistant chief was shot with his colleagues by the owner of the pen when they tried to open the pen to collect the stolen goats
