CBK Governors Arrest Stopped

The orders will remain effective pending the hearing and determination of case filed by Prof Ndung'u.

The orders were issued this morning by Justice David Majanja who fixed the hearing date of the case on March 12. 2014

On Wednesday this week the governor through his lawyer Donald Njuguna moved to court to block his arrest by the anti-corruption body, EACC.

He requested the court to bar Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission, the Inspector of Police and the Attorney General because of the corruption charges filed against him.

The governor was being sought by officials from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission over the tender for installation of CCTV cameras at the CBK headquarters in Nairobi.
