Chaos erupt in Kitengela as Jubilee, ODM supporters clash

Police were forced to use tear gas canisters in Kitengela on Sunday afternoon to disperse Jubilee and ODM supporters who had clashed during a rally called by Kajiado Governor’s seat aspirant Joseph Ole Lenku.

Trouble started when ODM supporters started chanting anti-Jubilee slogans at the Kitengela KCB grounds where the former Interior Cabinet Secretary was addressing his campaign rally.

Calm was restored later and the meeting continued peacefully.

Speaking during the rally, Ole Lenku linked Kajiado Governor David Nkedianye to the violence that rocked his meeting.
