Chinese national arrested in possession of 5 firearms, 201 rounds of ammunition

A Chinese national is being held at the Kileleshwa Police Station after he was found in possession of five firearms.

Dang Pengfei was arrested by a multi-agency team on June 11, 2021 on the Mwingi-Garrissa road at Kanyonyo where he was found in possession of one pistol.

A multi-agency team from Kitui led by the County Criminal Investigation Officer (CCIO) Samuel Kobina on Wednesday raided the foreigner’s house at Kaputei Gardens in Kileleshwa where they managed to recover four more firearms and ammunition.

According to a police report seen by Citizen Digital, the recovered items are:

1. M4 assault rifle parked in its case with 5 rounds of special pellets inside a wardrobe.
2. CZ pistol loaded with 10 rounds of .9mm in the magazine in the master bedroom.
3. Taurus revolver in a case with 3 rounds .38mm.
4. Taurus pistol with empty magazine while 3 rounds of .9mm were found in the case.
5. Two boxes of ammunition containing .9mm one 40 rounds and the other 50 .115 9mm holopoint ammos in a black bag. Plus 90 rounds. Total 201 ammos.

Further search on the house is still ongoing currently.
