CHOLERA ALERT! Nairobi resident put on notice

Nairobi County Government on Thursday issued a Cholera alert after five people were admitted at the Nairobi Hospital experiencing the symptoms.

While confirming the outbreak of the bacterial disease, Health County Executive Bernard Muiya said that the patients may have contracted Cholera after eating contaminated food at an event over the weekend.

To manage the outbreak, he said that his team has reactivated six surveillance centres within the county.

He’s advised Nairobi residents to take precautions such as boiling water, eating clean food and maintaining good hygiene.

Muiya told Nairobians to look out for symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting and lack of appetite.
