Chuka University student killed in a bar

Police officers in Meru County have launched investigations following the murder of a Chuka University student who is alleged to have been killed by mob in Chuka Town on Friday.

Meru South OCPD James Kilonzo said the student, aged 19 and identified as Duncan Bundi, was attacked by a mob who mistook him for a thief.

According to the OCPD, the student was having a drink with his friend at a club before a fight erupted leading to his death.

The body was removed to Chuka District Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
