Church Sues Over Hijab And Trousers.

The church has sued the County Director Of Education, the District Education Officer and the Teachers Service Commission of Isiolo for allowing the wearing of hijabs at St. Pauls Kiwanjani school which is a Christian primary school.

The church is accusing the Deputy governor of Isiolo of proposing that hijabs and trousers be won at the school during the annual meeting of the school

The church says that the move led to the distribution of hijabs and trousers to girls in the school by unknown people a week after the annual general meeting

The church argues that the conduct was against the rules and regulations of the school

The suit was certified as urgent by Justice Mumbi Ngugi who ordered that the file be transferred to Meru high court immediately.

She also ordered that the respondents be served with the petition.

Hearing of the case is slated for 22nd of September 2014.
