Church Warns Against Politicizing the Security Problem

Speaking in Naivasha after a three-day training on National Cohesion and Integration at the Kenya Wildlife Service training institute, the Congress’s National chairman Bishop Dr. Stanley Michuki said the continuous killings witnessed in places like Baringo and Nadome were weakening the national social fabric and unity.

They termed the war of words between politicians on insecurity as appalling.

The Congress has urged the state to replicate its war on corruption in its current efforts to tackle insecurity.

The church leaders have also strongly rejected the registration of a gays and lesbians association and want the Attorney General to intervene.

“Based on this, we wish to state that the massive killings in the country by terrorists and bandits is worrying. We demand that the Attorney General moves with speed to repeal the court ruling on registration of gays association,” said Michuki.
