City businessman Jacob Juma shot dead

Controversial city businessman Jacob Juma is dead.

Juma was shot dead by unknown assailants Thursday night near Lenana School as he drove to his Karen residence.

According to police reports, the businessman’s car had ten bullet holes, an indication that close to 20 bullets were used during the incident.

Late last year, Mr Juma accused the government and the then Mining Cabinet secretary Najib Balala of illegally revoking his mining licence.

The vocal Juma was a fierce critic of the Jubilee administration terming it as one of the most corrupt regimes.

He was the Country Director of Cortec Mining.
