CJ Maraga transfers Judge Chacha Mwita, 4 other judges

Chief Justice David Maraga on Monday announced the transfer of five judges among them Justice Chacha Mwita — the head of the Constitutional and Human Rights Division at the Milimani Law Courts.

Justice Mwita was moved to the Kajiado High Court where he will be the presiding judge.

In the transfers that take effect from March 1, 2019 Judge Weldon Korir, who was at the Malindi High Court, was moved to the Constitutional and Human Rights Division.

Judge Wilfrida Okwany was moved from the Constitutional and Human Rights Division to Commercial and Tax Division while James Aaron Makau was transferred from the Commercial and Tax Division to the Constitutional and Human Rights Division.

Justice Reuben Nyakundi, who was presiding judge at the Kajiado High Court, will take up the same position at the Malindi High Court.
