Class 8 pupil allegedly raped in Kawangware, Nairobi

A class 8 pupil from Maranatha Primary School in Kawangware was allegedly raped over the weekend by a teacher from another school.

The victim went missing on Saturday evening after being sent by her mother to a nearby kiosk to get food for dinner.

Imelda Ambani, the girl’s mother, said she began searching for her daughter after she took too long to return home.

“I suspected something was wrong and searched for her the whole night but could not find her until Monday morning,” Ambani told Citizen Digital.

The daughter revealed that the man lured her to his house under the pretext that he would help her with past exam papers for revision.

According to her, books bearing a Lavington Secondary School logo were strewn all over his table inside the house where he allegedly raped her.

She was apparently locked up in the house from Saturday evening and only managed to escape on Monday, June 4.

The mother recorded a statement at Muthangari Police Station after getting a medical report from the Nairobi Womens Hospital.
