Class 8 pupils storm Kiamaciri Police Station, demand teachers arrest over alleged defilement

There was confusion at Kiamaciri Police Station in Mwea, Kirinyaga County after class eight pupils stormed in demanding that one of their teachers be arrested.

The distraught boys and girls from Kagio Primary School accused the teacher of defilement.

“We were warned against reporting this matter… even our deputy head teacher told us we will not receive our certificates if we report,” one of them said.

Their parents led by Mary Wambui expressed shock after they were told to come pick their children at the station at around 8pm.

The pupils told the OCS that the male teacher has been touching their private parts and even demanding for sex.

Citizen Digital sought to contact the school headteacher but found that he been transferred to Kagio Primary School. “He was last seen in the school compound two weeks ago,” the pupils said.

Five pupils– a boy and four girls– recorded statements and the suspect was later arrested.

Mwea West Sub-County boss Aden Alio said an investigation is underway.
