Class four pupil electrocuted at the neighbours house

A 13-year-old girl has been confirmed dead after she was electrocuted in Wadiang’a village, in Homa Bay County.

According to eye witnesses, the incident occurred after Faith Achieng’ ,a class four pupil at Sindo Primary School  touched an open live wire at their neighbour’s house.

According to the area Chief Mr. Samuel Obado, the minor went to play inside the said house after she had returned home from school, before attempting to pick up the live wire that was lying on the floor.

The deceased is said to have let out a loud scream prompting one of the neighbours to rush in, only to find her lifeless body still clutching the wire.

Police have launched investigations into the incident while the body of the deceased has been moved to Kirindo mortuary awaiting post mortem.
