Class Two girl hospitalised after defilement by her uncle seven times

A mother and her daughter in Migori County are fearing for their lives and have been forced to seek refuge at a good Samaritan’s home following threats from a family member who allegedly defiled the girl.

The 9-year-old girl, who is in Class Two, is said to have been defiled repeatedly by her uncle six times, although she had not told her mother out of fear.

However, it is the seventh act which happened three days ago, leaving her with serious injuries that exposed the shocking ordeal that the girl had been going through.

The suspect is said to have threatened to kill the family on Tuesday if the matter was is reported to the police.

The woman, however took her daughter to Migori Level Four Hospital and reported the matter at Central Police Station.

Migori County Human Rights Activists leader George Chacha wondered why police are yet to make any arrests even after the matter was reported.

Efforts to get a comment from the police proved futile as they maintained that only the County Commissioner could speak on the matter.
