Clinton, Trump make final pitches

Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump on Tuesday morning made their final pitches at key battleground states several hours before polls opened at 2pm East Africa Time.

The candidates crisscrossed America from Philadelphia in Pennsylvania to North Carolina to Michigan to make closing arguments.

President Obama and the First Lady Michelle Obama and a host of other popular artists including Bruce Springsteen and Jon Bovi joined the Democratic candidate at Philadelphia where she also paraded her family urging to shun Trump’s isolationist remarks.

“I am so happy to be finishing this campaign with my husband, my daughter by my side. We’ve been travelling across the country separately trying to cover as much ground as possible and talk to as many voters as we can. But I am glad we’re all together in Philadelphia tonight,” said Ms Clinton.

Trump, on the other hand, warned his supporters in Michigan that electing Clinton would portend doom for the country saying she was the face of failure.

“We started with 17 very talented candidates… but now I have only one flawed candidate left to beat,” beamed the Republican candidate.
