Coast Leaders Drum Up Support for Namwamba

Speaking in Mombasa, Wundanyi mp Thomas Mwadeghu says that Mombasa Governor Ali Hassan Joho, whose eyeing the ODM deputy party leader’s post, will lead the campaigns for Ababu’s bid.

Mwadeghu also hinted the coastal ODM group will back Josphat Nanok as the ODM Chairman, Rosa Buyu as the ODM national organizing secretary, and Simon Ogari as the party’s treasurer.

In the secretary general position, there is a battle between Ababu Namwamba, Agnes Zani and Elizabeth Ongoro, all appearing to be in top gear.

Ababu now appears to be edging out Agnes Zani from the coast support and enjoying a friendly welcome from Rift Valley delegates.

Those eyeing the deputy party leader positions are Kakamega Governor Wycliffe Oparanya and Mombasa governor Hassan Joho.

In the vice chair position, Otieno Kajwang’, Janet Ongera and Adan Keynan are also unrelenting in their quest and are likely to end their duel at the ballot.

The ODM elections will be held on the 28th of February and 1st of March, at the Safaricom Kasarani gymnasium.
