CONFUSION in Embu as JUBILEE PARTY leaders front different officials

A row has erupted among Embu County leaders interested in getting a Jubilee Party ticket, with the two factions fronting different lists of party officials.

The two groups – one allied to Senator Lenny Kevuti and the other to Embu Governor Martin Wambora – have stuck to their guns on the matter, with each arguing that their list of officials is the correct one.

The warring factions have presented two lists to the party headquarters, with each strategising on how to best popularise the party in the county.

The Wambora-Mbarire group has vowed to continue with their team of 17 officials, further ruling out any possibility of going for another round of elections.

However, some aspirants have also expressed concern over the composition of the party officials since they were not given the opportunity to field their list of names to party officials as stipulated by the party rules.

David Gitonga, who petitioned the party headquarters over the list, says that the ongoing party wrangles ought to have been addressed a long time ago as the discrepancy was hurting the party.

Gitonga argued that the wrangles would be solved if all the leaders followed party rules to the letter.

Gitonga says that as things stand, the list of the genuine and bonafide Jubilee party officials is yet to be unveiled as the complains and petitions lodged at the party headquarters are yet to be resolved.
