Construction Authority Declares Most Kisii Buildings Unsafe

During the exercise, the construction of close to 300 new buildings was stopped for flouting construction regulations.
According to engineer Crispus Ndinyo, the construction of those buildings has to be stopped until the owners adhere to the laid down procedures.
He added that the association has given the owners a 10 day ultimatum for to comply with the laid down rules or be taken to court
The move comes two weeks after a 5-storey building collapsed at Jogoo estate in Kisii County.
