Contraband Ivory Seized At JKIA

Police and customs officers at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport have intercepted 260 kilograms of ivory estimated at 39 million shillings. The consignment seized at JKIA'S Swissport Cargo Centre was destined for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. According to the police the consignment may have been on transit from a neighboring country.
