CORD camps in Duale’s home turf, promises to send him packing

The opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) took their onslaught campaigns against the ruling Jubilee Party at the home turf of National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, Garissa Town.

Addressing a public rally at Garissa Primary School Grounds, the opposition leaders said that they will not be cowed by Jubilee’s threats of arrest and detention to unmask the evils perpetrated by the ruling coalition.

Mombasa Governor, Ali Hassan Joho, promised Jubilee leaders a tough run for their money in the forthcoming elections saying he will not relent in talking of the Jubilee government’s unbecoming adding that the current government is rotten to its core with massive corruption.

Wiper Democratic Movement Party Leader, Kalonzo Musyoka, promised to be part of the Mombasa Governor – Hassan Joho defence team if Jubilee make good their threat to arrest him.

The CORD leaders also drummed up support for former National Assembly Deputy Speaker, Farah Maalim, who has already declared his interest to replace the Jubilee Party point-man in the Northern Eastern region – Aden Duale, as the Garissa Township Member of Parliament.

Duale is facing a daunting task to clear his name from alleged hate comments threatening to evict members of the Kamba community living in Garissa County.

The Wiper leader – Kalonzo Musyoka, urged the crowd at Garissa Primary School Grounds to turn up enmass to register as voters during the second phase of voter registration exercise that kicks off on Monday, January 16, 2017.

Kalonzo was accompanied by Garissa Governor, Nadhif Jama, Julius Malombe (Kitui), Hassan Joho (Mombasa), Garissa Women Representative, Shukran Gure, Mishi Mboko and a host of other opposition leaders.

In a quick rejoinder, area MP and National Assembly Majority Leader, Aden Duale, rubbished the opposition leaders assertions saying unlike Jubilee Party they are yet to identify their presidential candidate for the August polls.

Duale slammed the opposition coalition of playing ethnic card in their campaigns.
