CORD is solidly behind Raila Odinga Senator Hassan Omar

Mombasa Senator Hassan Omar has assured ODM supporters that the Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) supports its leader Raila Odinga.

Speaking in West Bunyore after joining Odinga, who is also the ODM leader, in Vihiga on his second day of Western tour, Omar further called on the region to stay united in CORD to ensure a defeat for Jubilee.

He faulted Jubilee government for apparently failing to tame corruption in its systems saying Kenyans need a change in guard.

Meanwhile, Odinga has called on residents of Western to take up ID cards and voters cards so that they can vote in the next elections.

“I want you to be my soldiers. Take up ID cards and be ready to vote in the 2017 elections,” he said.

Kajiado Central MP Elijah Memusi said ODM would ensure a defeat for Jubilee to replicate the outcome of Kajiado Central by-election.

Other leaders who made their address at the roadside meeting are Deputy Party leader Wycliffe Oparanya and Acting Secretary General Agnes Zani.

Raila will be winding up his tour of Vihiga on Tuesday before camping in Busia on Wednesday and Thursday.

The ODM leader will then wind up his Western tour with a visit to Kakamega County on Friday.
