CORD leader Raila Odinga, Moses Kuria to meet for lunch
CORD leader Raila Odinga is set to honour his lunch date with Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria on Tuesday at a popular Kosewe Restaurant in Nairobi.
The lunch meeting was agreed upon during a phone conversation between the two when Kuria was at the Pangani Police Station cell last week.
Though details of the impending meeting remain scanty, it is projected that the issue of national cohesion and unity will prominently feature in the discussions as both leaders move to foster peace among their supporters.
Kuria was last Tuesday arrested and detained for allegedly calling for the assassination of Raila, in an address at Kasarani Stadium on Sunday.
The CORD leader, however, publicly announced, days later that he had forgiven Kuria adding that his utterances were merely aimed at entertaining his supporters.
In an interview on NTV on Saturday, Kuria stated that his conversation with Raila was not centered on apology but an explanation of what his utterances meant.
