CORD: We Are Not Demanding For Coalition Govt

Speaking to the press at Orange house, Cord leader Raila Odinga said that among the issues they want discussed in the national dialogue is corruption within the government and insecurity.

Odinga who was accompanied by former vice president Kalonzo Musyoka and Bungoma senator Moses Wetangula added that they will also demand for a refund of all the monies paid out to the two Anglo-Leasing firms as well as the prosecution of the civil servants that orchestrated it.

Odinga further urged the government to approach the national dialogue in good faith and accept that the country is in crisis.

Cord further announced that a Cord rally will be held on 15th June at Tononoka grounds.

This comes just a day after President Uhuru Kenyatta agreed to national dialogue with the opposition on matters affecting this country.

Speaking during the Madaraka day celebrations at Nyayo Stadium, President Kenyatta added that he was open to dialogue within existing government structures and further ruling out any power sharing options with the opposition.
