Counties To Fly Their Own Flags

This is after the Attorney General Githu Muigai assured County Governors that his office will help them in the preparation of county flags, coat of arms and emblems.

The AG was speaking during a sensitization workshop for Governors on registration of county coat of arms and flags at the Kenya School of Government in Kabete.

Muigai however warned the governors against breaching the law by misusing county emblems during their time in office.

The Governors are however not allowed to fly national flags on their vehicles.

According to the National Flags Emblems and Names Act 99, unauthorized vehicles are prohibited against flying national flags.

Muigai pointed out that only the President, Vice President, Chief Justice, Speaker of the National Assembly, a Minister or the Attorney General are allowed to fly the Kenyan flag on their cars.
