An Embu couple was on Thursday arraigned in court after allegedly refusing to allow their three-month old baby to be immunized.

The couple was charged that on diverse dates between June 17 and September 28, 2018 at Mikuuru village, Embu County, they willfully and negligently denied the baby the right to health and medical care. The baby was rescued by his aunt who then informed the authorities.

The two have been in custody since their arrest pending immunization of the child after which they were arraigned in court to face the charges.
