Court declines to stop arrest of Senator Linturi over Family Bank loan

High Court has declined to stop the arrest of Meru Senator Mithika Linturi over a loan he took from Family Bank.

Linturi moved to court seeking to have orders granted saying that if orders are not granted he might be arrested.

The matter was coming up for inter party hearing on Monday.

According to Linturi, the alleged arrest is unlawful. He claims that the arrest is related to a family property between him and his estranged wife Maryanne Kitany.

The two are also in court over divorce case.
