Court Halts Laptop Tender

The High Court has temporarily stopped the government from tendering afresh for the procurement of laptops for primary schools. This is after Olive Telecommunications Company moved to court to challenge the decision by Public Procurement Administrative Review Board to cancel the tender which had earlier been awarded to the Indian firm. The tendering process remains suspended until the case, which comes up for hearing on 10th April, is heard and determined.
