Court issues arrest warrant against journalist

A Nairobi Court on Tuesday issued a warrant of arrest against journalist Moses Dola after he failed to appear in court for the mention of a case involving the murder of his wife.

In criminal cases, accused persons must attend court proceedings during hearings and mentions.

In May this year, High Court Judge Roselyn Korir ruled that journalist Moses Dola has a case to answer in the murder of his wife, Wambui Kabiru, in 2011.

Justice Korir said the prosecution has proven there is sufficient evidence for a full trial against Dola.

Dola is expected to defend himself before the court gives its final verdict.

Kabiru, who worked for a NTV was found dead by neighbors in the couple’s two-bedroom house in Umoja estate, Nairobi, in May 2011.

Dola is out on a cash bail of Ksh 500,000.
