Court orders JKUAT VC Prof. Ngumi to grant Finance DVC Moirongo access to office

The Employment and Labour Relations court on Friday directed JKUAT Vice Chancellor Prof. Victoria Wambui Ngumi to allow the institution’s Finance Deputy VC Prof. Bernard Otoki Moirongo access to his office pending hearing and determination of the case.

The court further barred the institution from proceeding with advertising any vacancy in the office of the Finance Deputy VC.

Activist Okiya Omtatah, in the case, argued that the wrangles are undermining public interest in the good governance of the university.

Omtatah said he is alarmed that the wrangles have intensified in the recent part and spilled into the media and now threaten to degenerate to levels previously seen in other public institutions.
