Court upholds election of Samburu Governor

The High Court on Friday dismissed a petition challenging Samburu Governor Moses Lenolkulal in the August 8 election.

The court also ordered the petitioner, former Internal Security Minister Simon Lesirma to pay Ksh.4 million as costs.

Mr. Lesirma had moved to court to challenge the county head’s win on grounds that the election was marred with massive irregularities and illegalities.

He wanted the court to nullify Lenolkulal’s victory.
