COVID-19: Kenya records 123 new cases, 4 deaths and 412 recoveries
The Ministry of Health has announced 123 new COVID-19 infections, tested from a sample of 4,948 in the last 24 hours.
The new infections push Kenya’s total COVID-19 case load to 98,555 and 1,102, 595, the total number of samples tested so far.
From the cases, 111 are Kenyans whilst 12 are foreigners; 74 are male while 49 are female.
In terms of Sub County distribution; the 62 cases in Nairobi are from Dagoretti North (11), Langata and Westlands (8) cases each, Kibra (6), Kasarani and Starehe (4) cases each, Embakasi East and Ruaraka (3) cases each, Embakasi Central, Embakasi South, Embakasi West, Kamukunji, Makadara and Mathare (2) cases each, Dagoretti South Embakasi North and Roysambu (1) case each.
In Nyeri, the all the 9 cases are from Nyeri Central.
In Embu, all the 8 cases are from Manyatta while in Busia, the 7 cases are from Teso North (6) and Matayos (1).
In Narok, all the 6 cases are from Narok North. In Kajiado, the 5 cases are from Kajiado North (3), Kajiado Central and Kajiado East (1) case each.
In Nakuru, the 4 cases are from Naivasha (2), Nakuru West and Njoro (1) case each. In Makueni, all the 3 cases are from Makueni.The youngest patient is a one-year-old child while the oldest is 85.
The Ministry of Health has also announced 412 new recoveries and 4 new fatalities.
