Criminals using Bui Bui, hijab as disguise

Women leaders in the coast region have demanded that security forces in the region inspect and search people wearing Islamic dressing, Bui Bui and Niqab (Ninja), between 11.00 pm and early dawn.

This came after security bosses realized that criminals are disguising themselves using Buibuis and hijabs to commit felonies and hide illegal arms.

Early this week, Mombasa County Commissioner Nelson Marwa revealed that criminals disguised in Bui Bui and Niqab were responsible for the attack killing of three men.

Mombasa Maendeleo ya Wanawake Chair Afya Rama also blamed parents for protecting their children, even when they are well known criminals in the community and for neglecting their children, making them easy prey for criminals.

Rama also blamed parents for offering girls as brides to criminal gangs.

She appealed to parents to bring out such children and seek government intervention so that they can be rehabilitated.

Maendeleo ya Wanawake leaders from the region insisted that the religious gown should be respected and not to be misused by criminals.
