CS Magoha in hot soup over idiot slur, Uasin Gishu KUPPET boss wants him sacked

Kenya Union of Post Primary Education Teachers (KUPPET) Uasin Gishu Secretary General Elijah Maiyo has trained his guns on Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha, asking him to apologise over the Langa’s Primary School saga.

Mr. Maiyo was addressing the media in Eldoret on Monday morning after the controversial video featuring the CS went viral online.

Prof.Magoha has been on the limelight since a video emerged of him giving the County Director of Education Gitonga Mbaka an embarrassing dress down.

The CS had reportedly picked an issue with the tidiness of the school where it turned out, a construction was underway.

He was reportedly irked by the untidy school and instructed teachers and students to collect the rubble.

“It is embarrassing for the CS to ask teachers to collect rubbish, the mess was there because there is an ongoing construction at the school,” Maiyo stated.

At the same time, he asked the CS to apologise, threatening a series of punitive retaliatory actions.

“We are calling the CS to issue an apology immediately, failure to which we are going to seek legal redress because it’s is unbecoming of a man of his stature to refer to an Education Director as a fool,” Maiyo said.

According to Mr. Maiyo, Prof. Magoha’s sentiments desecrated the sanctity of the Kenyan education sector, and subjected the area County Director to ridicule.

“He insulted the County director in front of students, parents, teachers and visitors, this is wrong and will not be tolerated,” Maiyo said.

The region has also petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta to fire the no-nonsense CS, accusing him of incompetency.

At the same time, they have vowed to boycott all the CS’s meetings in the region unless the matter is resolved.
