Dalmas Otieno, Ken Obura Pull Out Of The ODM Race

The race for top positions in the Orange Democratic Movement took a new twist after politicians from the Nyanza region hastily withdrew from the race for the post of party secretary-general, soon after party leader Raila Odinga told youthful Luo MPs that the party should have a national outlook. Although Odinga pledged not to interfere in the forthcoming party polls, Suba MP John Mbadi , Rongo MP Dalmas Otieno and Kisumu Central MP Ken Obura all withdrew from the race for the key party post which had been the focus of attention of Nyanza leaders who had earlier insisted the slot should be a preserve of the region.
